Labor, Influence, Forgiveness, Experiences
The AOC LIFE interdisciplinary social and emotional learning course offers students an introduction into their own life journey through the concepts of LIFE (Labor, Influence, Forgiveness, and Experiences). Applying the knowledge gained by the research of Labor, Influence, Forgiveness, and Experiences, students will create and carry out a detailed plan investing their time and energy to give back to their local community through an impactful community service project.
Grades 9-12
Responsibility, Initiative, Service, Expectations
The AOC RISE interdisciplinary social and emotional learning course offers an introduction into the student’s own psyche through the key concepts of RISE (Responsibility, Initiative, Service, and Expectations). Designed to critically challenge their thinking, students will examine how these four key concepts affect their role in their family, their education, and their community.
Grades 6-8
Research Driven Approach
Ambassadors of Compassion provides an innovative, research-driven social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum that gives student's tools to handle life's inevitable challenges.
By addressing student pain and allowing them to open up through discussion, the Ambassadors of Compassion LIFE/RISE program has helped students achieve a 43% increase in grades and a 88% decrease is disciplinary infractions.
